Rogue Disbands its Overwatch Roster

Rogue announced that they are letting their roster go since the organization failed to secure a spot in the Overwatch League. This is how the organization explained the situation:

“Today we’re sorry to announce that we will be breaking up the current Overwatch roster to allow the players to pursue spots on OWL teams. We did everything we could to get the team a spot in OWL, including procuring the buy-in money and going through the whole approval process. Unfortunately, we were not accepted for Season 1 and had no option but to break up the most accomplished Overwatch team in the game’s history so that the players could accept offers. We will continue to pursue putting together more great teams in the future and hope next time to be able to keep what we’ve worked so hard to build.”

The Rogue opened its OW division in May 2016. The latest roster was formed of French players and was based in United States. The roster has been one of the most powerful OW teams on the scene, being active champions of such tournaments as APAC Premier 2016, Overwatch PIT Championship (NA), OverWatch TakeOer 2, as well as many monthly tournaments. Lately the team made several roster changes and suffered some bad results.

The roster of Rogue looked as follows:

· Dylan “aKm” Bignet (DPS)

· Terrence “SoOn” Tarlier (DPS)

· Michaël “winz” Bignet (Support)

· Nicolas “NiCO” Moret (DPS/Flex)

· Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson (Support)

· Jean-Louis “KnOxXx” Boyer (Tank)
