Today, Hangzhou Spark finally announced its glorious branding ahead of Overwatch League Season Two. As the final Chinese team to unveil its branding, the Spark have dazzled the fans with a pink and blue color scheme. Chengdu unveiled a panda clad in dandelion yellow, gold and black, while Guangzhou chose letters with cyan, indigo and green. The Spark unveiled an anime-based logo with a finger gun coursing with electricity, directly referencing Misaka Mikoto’s Railgun pose.

Bilibili Gaming president Chen Youyou also had this to say about the branding and upcoming season:
“We’ve staffed the team with world-class players and coaches,” she said. “We’re confident in how the team will perform and we’re excited to see them in action when the 2019 season starts. We also hope fans will continue to create and discover more thrilling content on the bilibili platform, as well as interact with fellow Overwatch gamers in the bilibili community.”
In a press release the team was quoted as describing the Spark brand as “[symbolizing] extreme speed and power” that also represent “the electric nature and creative spark of the bilibili brand.”
On Weibo, the team announced the signing of Team China’s main tank, Xu “Guxue” Qiulin, to complement the brand release. Hangzhou’s brand announcement, combined with the signing of a superstar, is a surefire way to spark their entrance to the league. In a league that is currently inflated with blues and reds, the Spark will stand out from day one with bold bubble gum colors and a weeb-tailored logo.
