Riot Games revealed the details of the Yuumi changes coming in the next league of Legends patch, 13.5. The developers want her to become a newbie-friendly hero, allowing the new LoL players easy entry. In line with this, her price will change to 450 BE, according to Matt "Phroxzon" Leung-Harrison on Twitter.
We want Yuumi to be a great champion to bring a new friend into the game (and also a great duo experience generally), and we're making changes to our outdated pricing model for this patch to reflect this philosophy (she will be 450 BE now).
Phroxzon explained that Yuumi was imbalanced and hard to play against when optimized. She was also the most powerful in the Pro Play bracket, and they wanted to make her fitting average-level games. This is how the developer summarized the adjustments:
We're making her less frustrating in several ways:
1. Q will be more dodgeable
2. Her healing is tied to landing her Q
3. Her ultimate no longer roots
4. Her best ally to sit on will be her lane partner and incurs cost for swapping to fighters or assassins (or mobile allies)
Patch 13.5 will arrive on March 8. Aside from Yuumi, the next champion, support enchanter Milio, is expected to come out in the game. To learn more about the character, follow the link below.
