Riot Games reported on COVID-19 cases at League of Legends World Championship 2022, as members of DWG, Gen.G, Edward Gaming, and the analyst Emily Rand reportedly got sick.
All the affected players who are feeling well to compete, will play remotely from an isolated LAN facility. It was used previously for Elias "Upset" Limp and Zdravets "Hylissang" Galabov from Fnatic. The players got COVID-19 before the event.
Coronavirus continues to affect Riot events. Previously, the organization of Valorant Champions 2022 faced multiple cases of illness. This year's Mid-Season event was missing the live presence of its eventual champions, Royal Never Give Up.
