On April 2, the LCS 2022 Spring playoffs started. Regular season winners Team Liquid had an unexpectedly tough bo5-series against Evil Geniuses from fourth place. The red-sided team won all five games as TL won the match with a score of 3:2.
The second match-up was even more sensational as 100 Thieves stomped Cloud9 3:0. The closes map was the second one. Cloud9 were leading almost the entire game but lost at the end of the 40-minute game.
