The madness of the LCK off-season has begun and already the big roster changes are coming. Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, Kim “PraY” Jong-in and Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyeon have officially departed from Kingzone DragonX, the organization confirmed Monday. This leaves KZ in search for new bot lane and jungle ahead of the 2019 LCK Season.

“Hello, this is KING-ZONE DragonX. KING-ZONE’s Pray Kim Jong-in, GorillA Kang Bum-Hyun, Peanut Han Wan-ho have concluded an agreement with the team and have been converted into free agents,” reads the translation courtesy of Redditor /u/Giraffe_Penis. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the three players who presented KING-ZONE with their precious moments in the meantime. Thank you.”
So far, there are nothing but rumors regarding where these three players could land. Recent reports hint a possible reunion between Peanut and SK Telecom T1, which makes sense considering SKT’s disappointing result in 2018. What’s more, further reports indicate that SKT might be getting another one of KZ’s players, top-laner Kim “Khan” Dong-ha. So far, nothing’s known about either Pray or GorillA.
Despite fielding a monstrous roster of veteran players, Kingzone didn’t have a great summer. After winning the Spring Split, KZ finished fourth in the Summer playoffs and second in the Gauntlet to miss Worlds 2018. This failure to qualify further added to the roster’s poor Worlds record. In 2017, then competing under Longzhu Gaming, the team won the Summer Split in dominant fashion and entered Worlds as prime favorites. Instead, a surprising quarterfinal elimination at the hands of Samsung Galaxy sent LZ packing.
