1win Team Dota 2 player Ilya "squad1x" Kuvaldin compiled a tier list of the best midlaner in patch 7.39c. He highlighted Queen of Pain, Monkey King, Batrider, and Ember Spirit as the best options. The list was published on the organization's social media.

• S-tier: Batrider, Quin of Pain, Ember Spirit, Monkey King.
• A-tier: Puck, Kunkka, Storm Spirit, Shadow Fiend, Pangolier.
• B-tier: Leshrac, Dragon Knight, Sniper, Tiny.
• C-tier: Huskar, Death Prophet, Lina.
• D-tier: Sand King, Nature's Prophet, Void Spirit.
