BetBoom Team beat Gaimin Gladiators in the grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 5. The Bo5 match between them ended with a score of 3:1.
BetBoom started the series with two wins before GG found a way to get themselves at least one point. The following game lasted over an hour. BetBoom Team had an upper hand throughout the whole time but couldn't finish what they started for quite a while.
This is the last top-tier event before Riyadh Masters 2025. BetBoom Team gathered good form ahead of the event. They previously finished second at DreamLeague S26, despite missing their carry Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko and playing with a stand-in.
PGL Wallachia Season 5 was held from June 21 to 29 in a studio LAN in Romania. Participants competed for a million dollars in prize money. Before the final day, Team Liquid's player Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi was hospitalized and was replaced with Matthew "Ari" Walker. Their coach revealed that the support has been feeling sick for a few days before that.
