Nigma Galaxy coach Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi spoke about OG's peak performance in Dota 2. He believes the team copied Liquid's ideas and upgraded them, which led to the famous two TI victories in 2018 and 2019. Kuro's speech was shown in a promo trailer of a podcast with N0tail and Puppey at PGL Wallachia S5.
What OG did was they literally stole our stuff and took it to the next level. They made an evolution of it, because we were stagnating slowly. So that was cool to see, though. [To N0tail:] Because you guys kind of took it to the next level. We saw that at TI9, that's where they finished with that process.
KuroKy's Team Liquid won The International 2017 and remained a strong team for two more years. OG had mediocre results for a whole year after they lifted the trophy at TI8. The teams faced each other in the grand final of TI9, where OG proved to be better with a score of 3:1.
