Nigma eliminates Virtus.pro from TI14 WEU qualifiers, which VP chose to participate in

Virtus.pro lost to Nigma Galaxy in the Western European qualifier for The International 2025. The Bo3 series in the lower bracket ended with a 0:2 score. The Russian team will miss the second TI in a row.

Before the qualifiers, VP withdrew from the EEU to participate in the WEU qualifiers. The team claimed they initially intended to play in that region, but many assumed that the team preferred the competition because of the two slots and a weaker opposition.

The same approach so far works better for NAVI Junior, who also switched regions. They are going through the upper bracket and will face 1win next.

WEU qualifiers run from June 13 to 17 online. Two out of ten teams will earn their spots at TI14. Earlier, Team Secret left the qualifiers, eliminated by Yellow Submarine. This result means Clement "Puppey" Ivanov will miss another The International.
