Ceb: "To be the best in the world, you need to learn how to work through pain"

OG co-founder Sebastien "Ceb" Debs watched the team's video Lessons in Defeat. He stressed the importance of working through hard times and learning from them. The former captain discussed this on stream.

It's a really good watch. It's painful in a way, I'm not gonna lie. You know, we have all these orgs that only show wins. People are happy, celebrating and stuff. The truth is, most of the time it's not like that. Most of the time, the downs are going to be the moments when highs are created. To become and remain a professional player, to eventually be the best in the world, you need to learn how to work through pain. You need to understand yourself and others, endure the pain and learn through it.

Ceb thinks that showing the team operating in tough times is useful. It isn't a positive feeling, but a lesson to learn.

We always had this motto, like, "show everything." There's no need to hide everything, really. When times are rough and the team is underperforming and malfunctioning, also show it. It's totally fine. This is one of these pieces when you actually show that it didn't work, and synergy failed to be built, and the results were not ideal. You can learn from that, too. You can, we can, everybody can. There was a lack of synergy, you could see it between Ari and nine, and not only that. Many solutions were tried, and we tried to work through it, but none of them paid out. It is what it is. It hurts to watch because I obviously wish the best for that team and the people. And the efforts are there. Sometimes the efforts don't pay right away, but they do later. And they may not pay when you want them, but later, to someone else. But it is what it is.

OG's video covers the team's performance in the qualifiers for ESL One Bangkok 2024, which took place in November. Ceb wasn't on the roster at the time. Back then, OG showed some promise and beat Gaimin Gladiators and Tundra. Despite that, the team failed to qualify, losing to AVULUS.
