JerAx stands in for Parivision at BLAST Slam #3, will possibly continue as "mind coach"

Parivision coach Filipe "Astini" Astini will miss BLAST Slam #3, because he and his wife are expecting a child. He is temporarily replaced by Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka. On X, the Brazilian also said that this event may be the beginning of future work with the two-time TI champion as their "mind coach."

Lesson learned from Liquid: If you keep finishing second and actually want to win a LAN… just make sure your coach doesn't show up. So yeah, I’m not going to BLAST. Instead, JerAx will be there with the team. Let the magic happen!

Jokes aside, my wife is 8 months pregnant, and I've decided to stay home to support her. I'll still be working with the team remotely and doing everything I can to help them succeed from afar. Huge thanks to the players and Parivision for being so supportive. Also grateful to JerAx for stepping in on short notice. We've been planning for him to be our mind coach for a while— excited to finally get officially started.

JerAx has two Aegises in his trophy cabinet from TI8 and TI9, won with OG. After his retirement in 2020, he returned to play at the end of next year, and then switched to coaching for Team Liquid. JerAx worked in this position for half a year and left at the end of 2022. He then switched to individual coaching, with a focus on the mental side of play, such as consistency, performance, and dealing with tilt.

BLAST Slam #3 is held from May 6 to 11 at a LAN in Copenhagen. The tournament features 10 teams, which will compete for a share of the million-dollar prize pool. The first game for Parivision starts at 11:00 CET, they're facing Aurora Gaming.
