Dyrachyo: "Maybe they call 33 a genius because he does things that others don't, and they also work"

Tundra Esports inactive Dota 2 player Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov spoke about his decision to take break. In an interview with Cybersport.ru, he revealed that he predicted the possible pause. The player also discussed the reaction of his teammates and gave his opinion about Neta "33" Shapira as a captain and player.

Dyrachyo signed a short-term contract

Initially, when I joined Tundra, I signed a short contract to see what would happen and if I would want to continue. I knew very well this could've happened. And that's it, I was just trying to play, have fun, and win as many tournaments as I can. At some point, I realized there's no more joy, so I took a pause. The exit was sensational? I'm not sure, I think people overhyped it, nothing big actually happened. I just took a break for an indefinite amount of time, and now I'm wondering if I want to continue in the future.

Did Tundra players know in advance about his break

I revealed it to the teammates at BLAST Slam II, when we had a break, and we all spoke. Well, I told MoonMeander, he told 33, we spoke to 33, and everyone understood each other. Guys were upset, but overall, they actually understood why I did that, and accepted, so to speak. [Did they try to make you change your mind?] No, nobody tried. There was a suggestion to sign a contract and take a break. Then, I'd be able to return, but no, guys, I don't want to, so that's done.

Is 33 worth being called a genius?

I don't know what a genius is, and I don't know who can be called a genius, but 33 is pretty open-minded. He always tries to come up with new ideas, and they often work. Maybe they call him a genius because he does things that others don't, and they also work in his case. In general, he's very smart, gives a lot of useful advice, looks after himself, but also after the team.

33 tries to make the team play better. Even when he suggests something, it doesn’t sound like he's teaching you. The things he says and the tone don’t sound like, "Okay, dude, I don’t trust you, do it my way," but more like, "Try this, this might be better." You try and realize that it really is better, and you thank him.

In that interview, dyrachyo also spoke about his possible comeback. He believes the return won't happen at least until TI14, if it will happen at all. His girlfriend is convinced that the carry will eventually come back.
