Aurora Gaming Dota 2 coach Sergey "G" Bragin shared a story about an "incident" that happened to their midlaner, Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov, at PGL Wallachia Season 4. They couldn't find him after arriving in Romania and settling into the hotel. The team raised quite a fuss, but it appeared to be a hotel staff mistake. The coach revealed this in the latest team vlog.
Kiyotaka tried to dodge Romania again, but we forced him, shoved him on a plane, and transported him. Upon arrival at the hotel, Gleb went missing. And we couldn't find him. Initially, we thought it was a prank, but it turned out that it was just a hotel error.
Gleb was given a room, but in the database, he was supposed to be in a different room. He fell asleep there, and our manager Michael went to wake him up. He knocks, but no one answers. Michael went to the hotel security and came back to open the room, but there was no kiyotaka or his belongings.
They raised a fuss: the police, the local FBI, the whole city was on edge, the mayor's office running around like cockroaches, papers flying, and so on. And then, slowly, after about three hours of all this hustle, Gleb answers. True story.
Kiyotaka missed the previous season of PGL Wallachia. The midlaner didn't get a visa in time for the event and was replaced by Artem "lorenof" Melnick. Before that, the paper issues might've influenced him losing a place on the team. He missed BLAST Slam #1. After playing and winning the tournament with gpk~, a month later BetBoom released kiyotaka.
PGL Wallachia S4 runs from April 19 to 27, with 16 attending teams. The prize pool of the tournament is $1 mln. Aurora finished the group stage with a 3-2 match record. They will fight against BetBoom Team in the first round of the playoffs.
