KuroKy: "I don't like to be called an idol. We had many faces in Dota, starting with Dendi"

Nigma Galaxy coach Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi gave a brief interview to SirActionSlacks at ESL One Raleigh 2025. He refused to be called an idol and commented on the team's progress over this season. He thinks Nigma made "huge improvements" in 2025.

[When was your last event in the USA?] In 2018, TI was in Canada. So I guess the last time I was in the US was at TI7. <...>

The travel was good. Long, but it is what it is. I'm doing great. No complaints, life is good. The guys are working really hard. I think we made huge improvements this year. I'm proud of them, we had a lot of struggles and demons we had to fight, but I think we're in a decent place. We're just happy we can compete with the best teams right now.

On being seen as an idol of Dota 2

I don't like this word, idol. I mean, sure I'm a known player. But we had many faces in Dota, starting with Dendi. He was one of the biggest legends. Why are you laughing? [Slacks, laughing: It's just feel like I'm talking to a historical figure, like Gandhi] It's just my voice, I think.

Nigma has been on the upward trajectory since last roster change in September 2024. They had some decent finishes and reached the semis of BLAST Slam #2. This time, the team made it to the playoffs at ESL One Raleigh. In the first round, they are about to fight against BetBoom Team. The game will start today on April 11 at 21:30 CET.
