Tundra Esports midlaner Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov revealed that OG performance depended on their ability to follow Sebastien "Ceb" Debs's calls. It was important for everyone to be on the same page with the captain, otherwise things would go terribly wrong. The player shared this in an interview with Dota2.ru.
In the past, we had Ceb. Sometimes it was good, but sometimes it was the opposite. It all depended on who was listening to him. If everyone was listening to Ceb, everything was good. If someone, even one player, wasn't listening, everything was terrible. So sometimes we were good, and sometimes we were very bad.
They played with Ceb again and won, but I think they were lucky. I watched their games and they didn't look strong. And now without Ceb, it's even worse. I can only assume that something is wrong within the team, between the players. Something just isn't working.
And as you said, constantly changing players is not good for the people in the team, for the current players and for everyone.
Bzm spoke about his options after moving to OG's bench. He could've returned to the lineup but chose to leave the team as they couldn't sign specific players he'd like to play with.
I had other offers but none were tempting enough. I considered staying in OG, but I didn't want it much, because I wanted signings of some players, but we couldn't get them. I thought about leaving, it was 50/50. Then Tundra made an offer, and it became clear.
Ceb continues to get in and out of the team. He missed the second half of 2024. At the beginning of next year, he rejoined the squad as an offlaner stand-in. At the recent ESL One Raleigh qualifiers, the team once again played without him. Danilo "ChodeX" Popovic took his place as a stand-in.
