Late Game show is canceled at The International 2024

There would be no Late Game at The International 2024. This was reported by the host of previous episodes of the talk show, Ted "PyrionFlax" Forsyth. On X, he revealed that he would do player interviews.

Fans were disappointed with the news, as many loved this segment. Additionally, that's one more of the defining TI features now removed. Late Game is among a string of other cancellations over the last years: Valve stopped shipping Battle Passes in favor of all-year updates which aren't tied to TI, and seemingly not making True Sight anymore. PGL was heavily involved in TI production for a long time, but now Valve reportedly given them even more control over the event.

The International 2024 takes place in Copenhagen from September 4 to 15. This year, the number of participating teams was lowered from 20 to 16. The prize pool is currently lower than at TI12, amassing $2.4 mln. This is the first event of the series to take place in Europe with the crowd since the very first TI.
