Team Spirit's manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov hinted at the return of team bundles for The International 2024. He revealed that in a post on Telegram.
Little birdie told me that The International 2024 will have team bundles, and that's cool. Can't wait to enjoy some content from teams.
Team bundles were used by Valve in DPC as a way to share revenue and make the league more sustainable for its participants. The teams created their own loading screens, voice lines, and other types of content, and the fans were able to purchase it, with part of the money coming to the teams.
Korb3n also commented on Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk's nickname change. Manager explained that this is just a temporary thing, and Yatoro wanted to do it for a while now but couldn't do it since the registration system was locked.
I don't like Raddan either, just saying. The main thing that he likes it, right? It seems that he does. He wanted to do it for a while, but he couldn't do it because of Valve. You change your nickname at the site of team registration, but it was closed the whole time. Otherwise, he would change it at the beginning of the year.
We sent Valve a letter, and they weren't fast in answering. Now they opened the system, so he changed it. <...> It's not permanent, and I can understand him. Dota players are in a Groundhog Day. Obviously, you'd want to change something for variety.
Valve did not announce any information about The International 2024's related activities. There is no mentions of Battle Pass or Compendium yet, or anything of sorts. In 2023, the company decided to move from massive Battle Pass model loaded with cosmetics and changed it to a system more focused on teams and players. The result of that was a very mild interest in crowdfunding, with final prize pool of $3,3 millions.
