He believes the hero is suitable for this role, but the opponents and other teams use him in the wrong way. Larl spoke about it in the post-match interview.
It seems to me that people are still picking Morphling support incorrectly. The hero has potential, but you need to see the full enemy lineup. You need to understand who you can turn into in order to be really useful with your abilities.
[Isn't the core idea about Morphling's stun?] After transformation, you have a very short skill cooldown. If you buy Octarine Core, something like Tiny's spells recharge in 3-4 seconds. This is just one example. It's definitely strong.
In patch 7.36, Morphling got the Flow facet. The ability accelerates the cooldown timer. Since the hero can turn into other characters, this skill opens up a whole new area for experiments. Morphling isn't just played as a support. Tundra's star midlaner Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen has been trying him in the mid lane and promised to bring the character to pro play.
1win Series Dota 2 Summer runs from June 27 to June 30 online. Participants play for $100 thousand. Morphling's pick didn't help 1win defeat the opponents. Team Spirit beat them 2:0 and advanced to the tournament's grand finals, where they face Gaimin Gladiators.
