Save- abuses Shadow Demon bug at ESL One Birmingham, BetBoom Team gets penalized on draft

ESL issued a draft penalty against BetBoom Team at ESL One Birmingham 2024. Their support Vitalie "Save-" Melnic used the Shadow Demon ultimate bug in a match against G2.iG.

The glitch was discovered after the release of Crownfall. It allows a player to max out his ultimate with Aghanim's Shard even before reaching level 6. At the example screenshot from the game, Save- is level 12, but his ultimate is at maximum level. We previously covered the bug in this article.

Based on his build, we can assume, the abuse was intentional. Save- didn't upgrade his ultimate at level 12 or 18.

Despite the bug abuse, BetBoom still lost the game. Second match of the series is going on at the moment of publication. You can watch it here.

ESL One Birmingham 2024 runs from April 22 to 28. The prize pool of $1 mln will be split among 12 teams.
