Somnus` M and Ame win first ever Olympic Dota 2 event at Asian Games 2022 with Team China


Chinese national team, including Somnus` M, Ame, XinQ, and Chalice, won the Dota 2 competition featured at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. In the grand final, they defeated Mongolia 2:1 and brought home the golden medal, which counts towards the unified medal table of the event.

China was seeded in the playoffs and after beating Thailand, faced Team Malaysia with players like NothingToSay, Ghost, and xNova. The series started with a loss but ended with a 2:1 score in favor of Ame and Somnus`M's lineup.

National teams of 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022

The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 take place from September 23 to October 8, 2023, in Hangzhou, China. They are included in the International Olympic Committee program. It is the first time Dota 2 has been featured as an Olympic sport. Asian Games also feature League of Legends, PUBG Mobile, Hearthstone, FIFA 23 and Street Fighter 5 disciplines. A total of 45 countries take part in the competition.
