Beastcoast part ways with K1 ahead of Bali Major

Beastcoast parted ways with their long-time star carry Hector "K1" Rodriguez. According to the announcement, the team and the player jointly made this decision. The organization thanked the player on social media.

Due to the replacement, beastcoast lost 200 DPC points and dropped from 9th to 11th place in the world rankings. They are currently sitting on 800 points, so their invite depends on beastcoast's performance at Bali Major. Liquipedia considers 1160 to be the threshold for guaranteed qualification.

K1 has already announced the search for a new team. He is ready to move and can play in any region. K1 has not played for beastcoast since May 2023. The Peruvian took a break for mental health treatment. At DreamLeague S20, the team played with David "Parker" Nicho Flores.

K1 was the main star of beastcoast for 3.5 years after his addition in 2019. He won several DPC seasons with the team and got to the 7th-8th place at The International 2022.
