Insider Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov reported on the situation with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev. According to his information, NAVI would like to sell the AWPer for an affordable buyout price, but FaZe Clan didn't have the money to acquire him anyway.

FaZe Clan have been struggling with their finances, which led to the merger with GameSquare at the end of 2023. The organization moved towards a more disciplined financial approach. Before that, one of the org's founders claimed that running their CS team cost them over $500k per month, so their salaries could've remained at high levels. Aside from buying EliGE, the team haven't made a significant acquisition for years. They also reportedly let both Twistzz and ropz leave for free.
S1mple's future during this offseason remains uncertain. His contract with NAVI will reportedly expire at the end of 2025. After that, the player will be able to join any team as a free agent. The Ukrainian organization might remove w0nderful, according to rumor from BanKs.
