Update: The mystery was revealed to be a prank from streamer Aqua. After discovering an exploit that allowed joining spectator slot, the content maker and his followers started connecting to various games pretending to be "VAC Live Agents." You can watch Aqua's video on his channel to learn more details.
Original text: CS2 users have reportedly been spotting weird accounts joining spectator slots after the recent update. Named "VAC Live Agents," they join the match for a while and then disconnect without any consequences. A screenshot with one of these accounts was posted on Reddit.
The spectator slot visitor is named "VAC Live Agent #118 [BETA]". Fans quickly found it on Steam, but the profile is private. It doesn't look like an active user: there's no avatar, the name hasn't been changed for a year, and its Steam level is 0. The author of the screenshot said that VAC Agent had two commends in every category.
The match has only 9 players, so the first conclusion is that someone is abusing a spectator bug, pretending to be a VAC bot for fun. However, plenty of people in the comment section reported that they had encountered these accounts, too. It would require a decent level of organization to set up such a prank.
The Reddit post was created after Valve announced the Season 2 end date in CS2. The actions of the alleged bots fall in line with the leaked description of VAC Live framework, provided by insider Maxim "Gabe Follower" Poletayev in January 2025. His report was released during the previous Premier season change.
