Degster: "It took me 7-8 years to win my first LAN, I don't even know how to correctly lift the trophy"

Falcons AWPer Abdul "degster" Gasanov gave a post-match interview after their victory at PGL Bucharest 2025. He was overwhelmed with emotions from his first-ever tournament victory on LAN and felt awkward when it was time to lift the trophy. The player also confessed that he was afraid to spoil the game when they were in the lead in the grand final.

It's amazing. It's my first trophy. Some of my teammates [ESN: kyxsan] also won it for the first time. It took me seven or eight years to get one, I don't even know how to correctly lift the trophy.

I just want to say to everyone watching this: It might be rough sometimes, you might face a lot of troubles. The most important thing is the work you put in and what you believe. Sometimes, situations won't work your way. You need to keep going and keep working.

Honestly, it was tough: When we were leading, I was like, "No-no-no, don't think about that." Because sometimes, when you're leading so much, it's so hard to put your emotions aside. I tried to do my best to just keep it and help the team win the trophy. I appreciate everyone who is here with me. You, guys, will be in my life. I won the first tournament with you, I f**king love you, guys.

Before that, degster only won a few online trophies with Team Spirit in 2020 and 2021. His best achievement was reaching the semifinals of PGL Antwerp Major 2022. During his time in Heroic and Falcons, he reached two grand finals before Bucharest.

Falcons defeated G2 in the grand final with a score of 3:0. Degster received the MVP award for the tournament. This is a bittersweet victory for the Russian AWPer, as he's about to step down from the active roster in Falcons, judging from the words of his wife. The team is reportedly acquiring Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, and G2's CEO already confirmed that the player was bought by an unspecified organization.
