S1mple appears in NAVI trailer for EWC 2025. Fans think they tease his return

CS2 player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev appeared in NAVI's video dedicated to EWC 2025. It has a teasing ending, with the AWPer calling the head of the org, which made the fans believe that the star may come back to pro scene. The trailer was released on the team's social media.

In the video, NAVI CEO Yevhen "HarisPilton" Zolotarov sees a dream where all his teams swap to different games. B1T and s1mple are playing Dota 2, Happy and ANGE1 decided to come back to CS, Apex division disappears, and their MLBB roster becomes a K-pop band. In the end, he wakes up and receives an incoming call from s1mple.

Lion's share of the comments under this video considered this to be a teaser of the player's return.

According to B1ad3, NAVI will make roster decisions based on their performance at BLAST Austin Major 2025, which runs in June. EWC 2025 will start in August, after the player break and IEM Cologne. As an option, they can plan to bring the AWPer to participate in show matches or other activities at the World Cup. However, recently, s1mple revealed that he got some offers, and that the price of his buyout went down, so there's a chance he won't be on NAVI by that time.

NAVI are the official partners of EWC, and the video serves as a promotion of its competition between the orgs across many disciplines. Other teams also release similar multi-game content.
