M0NESY hurt his hand after defeating Falcons with NiKo: "I wanted to smash something because I was so angry"

G2 Esports AWPer Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov appeared nursing his arm in the post-match interview at IEM Katowice 2025. He explained that he "smashed something" releasing his frustrations after they beat Team Falcons. He assured the interviewer that his hand was fine.

M0NESY criticized his performance and praised teammates who managed to make the comeback. He also commented on one of the last clutches that he lost to his former teammate, NiKo.

Oh, that clutch. I didn't expect him to go through the smoke after I killed the first guy, because he didn't play immediately after I swung under the stairs, and it was kind of stupid from me. But it worked for him. You know, sometimes you do bullshit but it works.

G2 eliminated Falcons from the tournament after a full bo3 series. They barely managed to win on the last map. A 2v4 clutch from MalbsMd and HeavyGod broke the opponents' economy and allowed them to close the game 13:11. The three heavy hitters of G2 were pretty much on a similar level on Mirage. M0NESY and NiKo ended with equal scores in duels against each other.
