First 2025 CS2 patch sends ragdolls flying, blocks weapon inspection

On January 7, Valve released a small update for CS2. The developers made a few fixes, but they caused other bugs to appear. The patch is available at the official Steam page of the game.

The changes to physics broke the ragdoll behavior. Sometimes, models are sent flying all over the place after the killing hit. Also, players cannot inspect a weapon for a few seconds after switching guns. While the clipping issue on Inferno stairs under the balcony was fixed, at the same time the developers blocked the jump on the small wall from the backside.

Additionally, Valve released a list of tournaments which were allowed to have exceptions to the official requirements. For example, EPL S21 can invite teams based on previous results. Other events got extra invites.

The community was expecting the addition of Train to the Premier mode and professional map pool after the official announcement of a future release. However, Valve didn't add the map with this update. We expect it will still be released later this week.
