CS2 star Robin "ropz" Kool commented on his departure from FaZe Clan. He revealed that he always dreamt of playing under this tag and made the decision to leave "against his heart." Ropz shared his emotions on X.
Once upon a time, there was a 12-year-old boy who dreamt of being in FaZe. That boy was me. Fast forward a decade, and I am proud of not only reaching that dream but also creating history within it.
Today, I am officially leaving FaZe to start another journey. It was an absolute joy and pleasure to represent this team alongside all the amazing people, who became like family to me. Memories for a lifetime, one of the best 3 years of my life. No words will do justice to how much this meant for me and how special everything was. This was a decision I made against my heart, and a part of me will always love this team and organization.
Ropz also commented on the words of one of the FaZe Clan co-owners, Thomas "Temperrr" Oliveira. The latter claimed that the player left due to lack of firepower. According to him, the only way he'd remain on the roster would be if FaZe upgraded their lineup with some kind of star acquisition. Ropz denied this rumor on X.
Regarding the clip from Temperrr's stream, it isn't true. The speculations about the roster and timelines are wrong. The word firepower has not exited my mouth when I have talked to the team or management. I stay professional on and off the server, there hasn't been any drama or falling out with people.
I love Tommy [Temperrr] and I had a few calls with him recently, everyone from us knows this doesn't portray the truth which people assume it to be.
Ropz left the team on January 1, 2025. He is reportedly joining Vitality. FaZe Clan commemorated his time on the roster in a YouTube video. Finn "karrigan" Andersen and other players posted farewell messages on X.
