Superstar player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev played his first official CS2 match. He participated in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 with Team Falcons facing against Metizport. Unfortunately, this was the only series he played for them, as they ended up being knocked out.
The first map Mirage was picked by Swedes. S1mple didn't have a particularly great performance, mostly being in the middle of the pack. A missed AWP shot could cost them a round. In the attack, Magisk did all the job, winning the post-pistol force buy and closing the map with a multikill.
On the T side of Overpass, s1mple was definitely the best player on the roster by quite a margin. Even though his openers bought Falcons a few rounds, they finished the half 3:9. After losing pistol round, the team didn't last long and lost their own pick. Swedish upcoming talent nilo posted a KD of 22-5.
The third map Vertigo was close, thanks to a comeback delivered by multiple clutches won by Falcons players. S1mple, however, wasn't shining by his standards, which was reflected in the endgame statistics. It's worth noting that the Ukrainian barely played this map throughout his career.
S1mple has been inactive since October 2023. The player suddenly skipped the first CS2 LAN in history, IEM Sydney, officially due to paper issues, and later revealed he would take a break. During this time, he has been developing an educational platform with his brother and playing FPL.
Falcons got Oleksandr on loan only for a single tournament. The best CS:GO player's future is still unclear, as his place in NAVI was occupied by w0nderful. He didn't reveal if he planned to continue with the home organization but stated that his primary goal was to get to Shanghai Major.
