Professional CS:GO players and talent have named the best anime characters to be used as an avatar on Steam. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Niko "nicoodoz" Tamjidi chose the heroes from One Piece, while Chris "dexter" Nong chose Captain Levi from Attack on Titan. Interviewer Heccu pointed at s1mple also choosing Levi for his profile.
ZywOo: Zoro, from One Piece, because he is too strong. If you want to be strong mentally and individually, then you need him.
Stavn: One of the only series I watch is probably Avatar: The Last Airbender. So I probably chose Aang from that series, the main character. He's pretty wise so yeah, I'd probably be him.
Dexter: Captain Levi, from Attack on Titan.
Nicoodoz: You should probably have Luffy from One Piece. He's the best one.
Heccu: I'm not saying it should be Mikasa from Attack on Titan but I think that is a good option. Because for a really long time, I believe it was s1mple who had Levi as his profile picture, and he did get the number one in the world. Maybe it has some influence? He actually said that anime has some sort of influence on your performance.
Despite this profile picture, s1mple rates Naruto higher than Attack on Titan. In the March interview for ESL Pro League S17, he praised the series, saying he would "recommend all parents to show their kids the whole anime."
