Evil Geniuses didn't survive the closed qualifier for BLAST Paris Major RMR. In the elimination match, they were 2:0'ed by Team oNe with close scores on Anubis (16:14) and Overpass (16:13).
Both teams finished the swiss group with 3-2 records and faced each other in the 7th place decider. Previously, CS:GO analyst Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunovic promised $1,000 to the team that would eliminate EG from the CQ. In a match thread on Reddit, fans congratulated Team oNe on qualifying for RMR, "but more importantly, securing the kassad's grand slam."
This match concluded the Americas' qualifiers. Complexity and paiN Gaming had no problems going through that stage, MiBR lost one match. The next stop for the winners is the RMR itself. It will be held in Monterrey, Mexico, from April 5 to 9. FURIA and Team Liquid enter the competition as previous Major participants.
