NAVI coach Andrii "B1ad3" Horodenskyi explained why they picked Andrii "nipl" Kukharskyi from the academy roster to test him at BLAST Fall Finals 2022. In the interview with Pley.gg, he stated that the newcomer was the best among the other players. B1ad3 stated that they didn't try nipl in scrims or practice with him.
He was just better than others, I think. Also, the game role, if you speak about it. Some of the players are really young. For example, froz1k is not yet ready to play in terms of the rules.
I don't know, we didn't even practice with him. I think we must play out a bit at bootcamp before Abu Dhabi. And then, I think I will know more about him.
I think electronic is still not reaching his potential as the IGL. Also, we're playing with sdy mostly like a stand-in because we didn't announce him officially. It also matters for electronic, that he must know the squad for the next year. Then he'll understand in which directions he must improve.
I'm not sure. Because it's really hard to find a proper IGL. He must be experienced enough. For now, I think we'd stick with electronic. We won't look for another IGL.
In their previous interviews, B1ad3 and s1mple stated that they want to try out nipl as soon as possible. He could've played in the main roster in Fall Finals. When confirming his addition, s1mple couldn't even remember nipl's nickname.
Fall Finals aren't as important for NAVI, who already made it to BLAST World Final 2022. The event will start in Abu Dhabi on December 14. It will be the first big competition to use Anubis in a professional Counter-Strike.
