Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev spoke to journalists at BLAST Fall Finals 2022. He revealed that NAVI brought the sixth player from the academy roster to test him. he couldn't remember his nickname, but, most probably, he meant Andrii "nipl" Kukharsky rumored previously.
We're feeling ok. We've added a sixth player. To see how he is going to practice with us. Overall we expect to go as deep as possible. [What's this player's nickname?] You know better than me, I don't remember his nickname. Yeah, he is from NAVI Junior. <...>
I think the team and the organization must finally decide with what roster we will continue in 2023. And it's the most important. When we won all the tournaments last year, we had 4 or 5 months together with our new players, we were always practicing and had bootcamps.
It was hard to play. Sometimes, we didn't hear the game. Sometimes, we panicked in some situations. And I think FURIA handled it better.
It feels weird when they keep in the pool a map like Ancient. They don't change it at all. Sometimes, it feels like stupid people work in Valve. Because they don't understand that the CT side is too OP. And they added another new map with a lot of bugs. I like the new map, the way A, B, and mid [work]. Everything's fine, but there will be a lot of new bugs, which they are going to fix probably already after Major, I guess. So it feels a bit weird.
What do I think about Dust 2? I don't care about it. I'm tired of playing this map as well.
I said 8-9 months ago that they needed to change this AWP. You see, they heard me after nine months. Actually, nothing has changed. It's only when you're defending a site, and they're splitting you, you cannot miss if you want to kill all five.
I think it's a bad update with changing the range damage. I think they could've made it a bit more expensive, like the A4 at $3.1k. Or, they could've just removed these five bullets to be 20. I don't know. But it would be much better if they'd added the price, for me.
NAVI are participating in BLAST Fall Finals 2022. This event is probably not a "must-win" case at for them since NAVI already qualified for World Final, and they might treat the competition as an opportunity to test their new player. NAVI will meet Brazilian Fluxo on November 23.
