Daps becomes new coach of Team Liquid following adreN's departure

Damien "daps" Steel became Team Liquid's new head coach after Eric "adreN" Hoag left the squad, together with Richard "shox" Papillon. The organization announced the new member on Twitter.

Daps is known for building and leading the former NRG squad to be a stable top-10 roster in 2018-2019. After the Canadian left the team, he tried himself in Cloud9, Gen.G, and even had a short period in Valorant. By the end of 2021, daps reunited with former teammates in EG as a coach but didn't find any success.

Team Liquid was struggling after their latest rebuild. The team didn't make it through the relatively easy American BLAST Spring Showdown and placed 15-16th at PGL Major Antwerp. All this led to shox's and adreN's departure.

Their lineup is still missing a fifth player. Richard Lewis and OverDrive both rumored that the organization may be in talks with YEKINDAR. Meanwhile, according to Dust.us, Liquid can't even find a stand-in for IEM Cologne 2022.
