European Counter-Strike team ALTERNATE aTTaX are expected to disband following the culmination of the current ESEA Premier Season, according to multiple sources. The German organization recently benched Nils “k1to” Gruhne and it is not expected at this time that any members of the currently lineup will be retained.
Since veteran in-game leader Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen joined the organization in September of 2017, the team has struggled to qualify for most international offline events. They finished 5th-8th in Season 28 of ESEA Premier, losing in the quarter-finals of the playoffs to 3DMAX. In the first two open qualifier brackets for the IEM Katowice Major in 2019, they were eliminated by 3DMAX and Sultefrans respectively.
ALTERNATE aTTaX has produced a few prospects in recent years that have been promoted to more prominent organizations, with the most recent departure being Tizian “tiziaN” Felbusch who joined BIG (Berlin International Gaming). Should an inquiring organization be interested in members of the current lineup, it is expected that Florian “syrsoN” Rische will garner the most interest.
ALTERNATE aTTaX could not be reached for comment.
